About the Film
In the film, Sultan, the young protagonist, relocates to the haor to work as a farmhand for a grieving family. The elderly man, whose son passed away, is left with a young girl, Ruku, a toddler, and a widowed wife. The story unfolds during the paddy harvesting season, with a race against time before the impending monsoon floods the region. As the waters surge, Sultan faces the real struggle. Post-monsoon, food supplies deplete, compelling Sultan to contemplate leaving. However, his decision triggers an emotional drama, culminating in his marriage to the widow. Set against a backdrop of stunning landscapes, challenging waters, and rich cultural heritage, the narrative showcases the villagers' resilient spirit amidst devastating calamities.
