About the Film
River Ichamati is located at the border of India and Bangladesh and has witnessed brutalities of partition. No one is allowed to cross the river to meet their family without a passport. The film, made after 75 years of partition, traces both Hindu and Muslim Bengali and Munda indigenous people on both sides of the river and how they still bear wounds of the partition, and how they try to survive.
About the Director
Habibur Rahman, an accomplished filmmaker with a BA in Film & Media from Stamford University in Bangladesh, excels in both fiction and documentary.
