About the film

'Lakshmi' depicts the real-life story of a migrant family and their community in the present socio-political scenario. The film peeps into the lives, livelihoods and routine unjust social situations of the migrant community in Kerala through the life of Lakshmi, the lead character of the movie. She is in search of her husband who has been missing. The movie reveals the deep memories, hardships and agonies of a woman and her daughter, who don't have a support system to survive.

About the director

Harold Antony Paulson is a screenwriter and film director from Kerala, India. He received his Diploma in Direction and Screenplay Writing from the K R Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science and Arts, Kottayam. His films are expositions of local Kerala culture and study of the human nature. His films have gained accolades at several prestigious film festivals. His filmography includes 'Lakshmi', 'Chai For Director, Paan For Crew', 'May', 'Big Bang Theory', 'Gomorrah', 'Motta', 'Niramaza'.
