About the film
The campus of Aligarh Muslim University became a battleground on 15 December 2019 when police and the Rapid Action Force entered the campus on the pretext of dispersing anti-CAA protestors and inflicted what can only be described as one of the worst cases of police brutality on Indian students in recent years. 'In A Dissent Manner' explores the events of that one night and its horrific after-effects.
About the director
Ehraz Asmaduz Zaman is a filmmaker and student of mass communication at Jamia Milia Islamia. He graduated from Aligarh Muslim University and was a student when the police brutality incident occurred. 'In a Dissent manner' is his debut documentary film.
