About the film
A newly-wed girl in Nepal is left to live with her mother when her husband leaves to find work in India. As days pass, longing turns to loneliness, then resignation to resolve. The girl and her mother ultimately find solace in each other in this affecting film about solitude, abandonment, and self-actualization.
About the director
Minsho Limbu is an independent filmmaker based in Kathmandu, Nepal. 'Junko' is his debut short film as a director. It has been screened at film festivals including; Fribourg, Torino, POFF Shorts, Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, Washington DC Film Festival and Tel-Aviv International Student Film Festival. Currently, he is developing his next short film, 'Summer of Goodbyes'.
