Away from home, the filmmaker reflects on his connections to his beloved, his motherland. Confined in a distant country because of the global pandemic, encounters bring back the memories of home.
About the director
Obaid Mustafa is a Pakistani documentary filmmaker presently based in Lahore. He is an alumnus of DocNomads and the University of Theatre and Film Arts (SzFE, Budapest). His peculiar approach to place, memory, archive, and melancholy brings filmic meditations to the world he inhabits. He is currently working on his first feature-length documentary film which revolves around his relationship with his city and his mother.
