ABOUT THE FILM
Dr. Jyotirmoy Guhathakurta, Professor of English and the Provost of Jagannath Hall was among those–students, teachers and employees–of the University of Dhaka who sacrificed their lives in the Liberation War of Bangladesh. On the night of March 25, 1971, the talented and philanthropic professor fell to a brutal massacre carried out by the Pakistani Army in Dhaka in the name of ‘Operation Searchlight’. Was it just a simple murder of a university professor? And what kind of a person was Jyotirmoy?
