About the film

This short documentary is about Padma Shree Jadav Payeng, and the hope of living sustainably and harmoniously with nature, even during the harsh monsoons. Listening to the forest man of India speak about this is inspiring.

Filmmaker's Statement

The main reason I wanted to make this documentary is to show the struggles of Padma Shree Jadav Payeng during the harsh rainy season. Many documentaries have been made about him, but none during the time of the monsoon floods. I wanted to show lives continue even when it is raining cats and dogs. It’s a self-produced film and being from the same district as him, I felt a responsibility as both an artist and filmmaker to make this short documentary.
