ABOUT THE FILM
Following the protests against the 2021 Myanmar military coup, travel vlogger Naw and her husband embark on a harrowing escape, seeking refuge in the jungles. In the heart of the dense wilderness, Naw’s husband makes a life-altering decision: to join the ranks of the resistance fighters. Amidst the chaos and uncertainty, the couple finds comfort in an unexpected companion—a newly adopted cat they name ‘Poopy’.

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
“I am right now in exile after the coup. I had survivor guilt and faced an artist’s block for a long time under depression. I travelled to the southern mountains in Myanmar for a few days to meet with my friends. My friend and his wife have lost the motivation to hold cameras again after the coup changed their lives. The only attachments they have are love for their comrades, their pet cat and themselves. Their losses, fear, love and courage are values of humanity which I find fascinating. As a filmmaker, I have decided to tell stories of such real-life dramas through my films.”
