ABOUT THE FILM
Three women share their experience of navigating the app-world in the metro city. The sharings reveal gendered battles as platform workers and the tiresome reality of gig-workers’ identities against the absent bosses, masked behind their apps. Filmed in the streets of New Delhi, the protagonists share about their door-to-door gigs, the surveillance at their workplaces and the absence of accountability in the urban landscape.

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
“My relationship with the app-world was limited to ordering, booking and occasionally rating rude male drivers. As I began to watch the app-world from the point of view of the workers, particularly women workers, the online landscape unfolded differently for me. I started questioning the ethics of the platforms we depend so heavily on and wondered if the convenience of our lives came at the cost of the workers’ overstretched and underpaid labour. Through the film, I intend to celebrate the resilience and unwavering spirit of all gig-workers and hope for their protests to gain momentum.”
