About the film
The film is set in a small village in Western Uttar Pradesh, where a boy falls in love with a girl from his own village, but from a different religion. Guddu expresses his feelings, but his courageous step backfires as it affects his elder brother.
About the director
Anant Dass Sahni was born in Uttar Pradesh in the small village of Saharanpur. After dropping out of his graduation course due to discrimination towards Dalits, he spent two years isolated and started reading and writing poetry and literature. He completed his school education and drop out graduation two years due to rascally discrimination and exploitative nature towards Dalit. He spend two years vacant, isolated himself and started writing poetry and reading lots of literature and took admission in filmmaking course at the State University of performing and visual arts.
